the weight associated with the spring is for a pair of springs for example: a 7' tall garage door that weighs 90 pounds would need 2 90# "light blue" extension springs
Extension springs for a 7' tall garage doors are 25" and stretch up to an additional 42" (total stretched length = 67 inches)
Extension springs for a 8' tall garage doors are 27" and stretch up to an additional 48" (total stretched length = 75 inches)
